Your Privacy, Our Priority
We built Kepto to be a tool you trust. Here's exactly what we do — and don't do — with your data.
Last updated: April 21, 2026
The Short Version (TL;DR)
Files are temporary: Bank statement files (PDF/Excel) are deleted immediately after parsing. We never store them on our servers.
Limited data: We only save the transaction data extracted from your statement.
No credentials: We never ask for or store your bank passwords, PINs, or login credentials.
1. What We Collect
Account Information
Personal data like your name and email address when you sign up for an account.
Bank Accounts
Nicknames for the accounts you add (e.g., "Meezan Savings"). We do not store full account numbers.
Transactions
Date, amount (stored in paisas), description, and category parsed from your uploaded statement.
Usage Data
Information about how you interact with our features to help us improve the product.
2. What We DO NOT Store
Kepto is designed to minimize data footprint. We explicitly do NOT store:
- Your PDF/Excel statement file: Processed in memory and immediately discarded.
- Your bank login: We never ask for your password, PIN, or OTPs.
- Your full account ID: We don't store full bank account numbers or IBANs.
3. Your Rights
Delete Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data permanently at any time from the Settings page. This action is irreversible.
Export Your Data
You have the right to access and download your transaction history as a CSV file whenever you want.
